Submit a new tower
Check the official requirements first, then prepare a proposal for the Malaysia TOTA coordinator.
Official TOTA tower requirements
A proposed tower must meet all five requirements below. Meeting the checklist does not publish the tower automatically; each proposal is individually assessed.
- Permanent structure: fixed to the ground.
- Man-made construction: natural viewpoints alone are not eligible.
- Viewing function: provides a view of the surrounding landscape.
- Public accessibility: accessible permanently, seasonally, or occasionally.
- Independent structure: has a genuine viewing platform/function, not merely a communication mast, radio mast, or water tower.
Usually excluded are temporary structures, natural viewpoints without construction, radio masts without viewing platforms, and water towers without a viewing function. Read the official TOTA rules ↗ before submitting.
